I'm playing keys in the band for the Rock Voices January 2017 shows. come see a massive choir of 180 + voices sing a bunch of your favorite rock and pop songs!
Here's a bit about the choir:
WHAT: It’s like karaoke, but better: a rock band with lots of singers!
WHEN: Weekly rehearsals for a few months, then a concert or two.
WHO: Anyone, any ability, any age (18+). No Auditions.
WHY: Because you need music in your life.
Our mission is simple: to help everyday people find their voices. Can’t read music? No problem. Recordings are provided for you to learn at your own pace; sheet music is loaned out and returned at the end of the season. Scared of not being good enough? Don’t be. This choir is full of people just like you! People who want to sing, and lack only the safe & supportive environment to try it out. This is what you’ve been looking for. You’ll make new friends, learn something about using your voice, and sing the music you love with a roomful of kindred spirits. What are you waiting for?

North New Salem, MA
I'm playing Contra music with Garrett Sawyer and Susan Conger in this amazing show:
TheatreTruck and The Swift River Valley Historical Society present THE WATER PROJECT (IMMERSIVE), created by Emma Ayres, Directed by Emma Ayres and Brianna Sloane.
Performances September 22-24 at 6:30 and 8:30pm
at The Swift River Valley Historical Society, 40 Elm Street in the village of North New Salem, just west of Rt. 202.
Tickets $20 in advance ($15 students with i.d. and seniors) or $25 cash only at the door ($20 students with i.d. and seniors).
The show is 90 minutes long with no intermission.
"Newspaper headlines read: 4 towns flooded, 2,500 people relocated, houses moved on the backs of trucks, 7,500 graves dug up and reburied on higher ground, memories drowned, and little know..."
TheatreTruck Collaborator Emma Ayres has created a truly unique experience: live theater joins forces with the Pioneer Valley's thriving independent music scene in this original immersive production. Audiences will navigate a house of memory to the sound of live music.
Immerse yourself in the currents of time in this story of the flooding of the Quabbin Reservoir. The water is rising.
THE WATER PROJECT (IMMERSIVE) submerges the audience in the final week of the decision making-process: to flood or not to flood the Swift River Valley in service of providing clean water to rapidly growing Boston. The audience is invited to explore the story unfolding around them in this theatrical journey. Faced with imminent flooding, the Doubleday family confronts the end of life and home as they know it, while anxiety rises and rumors walk the halls.
This site-specific performance, featuring fourteen local actors and four bands, (including Amber Wolfe, Wishbone Zoe and Mammas Marmalade, and Garret Sawyer of Gaslight Tinkers), takes place in the buildings and grounds of The Swift River Valley Historical Society (SRVHS), a museum complex filled with memorabilia from the towns of Dana, Enfield, Greenwich and Prescott, telling us stories of life in the Swift River Valley before the Quabbin.
TheatreTruck is a Collaborative of multidisciplinary artists crafting mobile and site-specific performance, sustainably and playfully. www.theTheatreTruck.com
This production is made possible through the generous support of the Orange, Amherst, Shutesbury, Wendell, New Salem and Pelham Cultural Councils.

Jill Sobule is a Denver-born singer, songwriter, storyteller, guitarist and gypsy. Over eight albums and nearly two decades of recording, Jill has mused on topics such as the death penalty, anorexia, shoplifting, reproduction, the French resistance movement, adolescence and the Christian right. Her recording career began in 1990 with her debut album "Things Here are Different," recorded by Todd Rundgren. Her 1995 self-titled album, Jill Sobule, yielded the hit songs "I Kissed A Girl (the original)" and "Supermodel." Jill remains a prolific, and diverse, writer and performer. On her latest studio release, “Dottie’s Charms," she collaborates with 11 of her favorite authors, including Rick Moody, David Hajdu and Jonathan Lethem. She tasked each to write a song based on a charm from a bracelet Jill purchased on Ebay. Jill then put the words to music. Jill’s idea was to bring the bracelet’s previous owner, “Dottie,” to life by imagining the importance of each charm to her life.

I am lucky to be part of this wonderful show with Piti Theater, designed specifically for kids, but also all ages, about Colony Collapse Disorder in Bee Hives. Sounds like a grim subject, but the show is fun and inspiring, employing clowning, puppetry with music performed and written by me (I collaborated on the lyrics with artistic director Jonathan Mirrin).
