    Lend Me Your Glasses

    LEND ME YOUR GLASSES

    EVERYBODY SEES
THE WORLD THROUGH THEIR OWN LENS
    EVERYBODY HAS
    THEIR OWN CHALLENGES AND FRIENDS

    LEND ME YOUR GLASSES
    I'LL GIVE MINE TO YOU
    LETS SHARE OUR GLASSES
    YELLOW GREEN AND BLUE

    TALK TO ME
    ABOUT WHAT YOU SEE
    TALK TO ME
    LETS SHARE OUR HISTORY

    WE’LL TRY TO SEE
    ALL THE POINTS OF VIEW
    BEFORE WE CHOOSE
    WHAT WE WANT TO DO

    EVERYBODY SEES
THE WORLD THROUGH THEIR OWN LENS
    EVERYBODY HAS
    THEIR OWN CHALLENGES AND FRIENDS

    LEND ME YOUR GLASSES
    I'LL GIVE MINE TO YOU
    LETS SHARE OUR GLASSES
    YELLOW GREEN AND BLUE

    HISTORY HAS HAPPENED
    AND WE CAN'T GO BACK
    BUT WE CAN  LEARN
    FROM THE PAST

    WHO TELLS THE STORY?
    WHO MAKES THE CHOICE?
    EVERYONE
    SHOULD HAVE A VOICE!

    (quietly)
    LEND ME YOUR GLASSES
HELP ME LEARN WHAT YOU SEE
    LEND ME YOUR GLASSES
LET’S SEE WHAT THE WORLD CAN BE

    (louder)
    LEND ME YOUR GLASSES
HELP ME LEARN WHAT YOU SEE
    LEND ME YOUR GLASSES
LETS SEE WHAT THE WORLD CAN BE

    (teacher)
    THANK YOU FOR SHARING
    YOUR TIME WITH US
    DONT FORGET YOUR GLASSES
LETS GET BACK ON THE BUS

    LETS SHARE OUR GLASSES
    WE’LL CLEAN THE LENS
    LETS SHARE OUR GLASSES
    SO WE CAN BE FRIENDS

    EVERYBODY SEES
THE WORLD IN THEIR OWN WAY
    SO MANY WAYS TO BE
LETS SHARE OUR GLASSES RIGHT AWAY

NOTES
Since 2012, I have had the pleasure of collaborating with Piti Theatre Co., a touring troupe based in Shelburne, MA. Together we've written six "plays with songs" for performance in theaters, schools, festivals, libraries, etc. (we do 3-4 school residencies a year). These "mini-musicals" are each about 45 minutes long and deal with subjects like: honey bees and colony collapse disorder; rocks and minerals; the study of magnets; the history of Colrain, MA; and the effects on human health of electromagnetic radiation. Each show contains about 5-8 tunes, plus incidental music. We currently operate on performance fees, grants, donations and sponsorships which cover the costs of creating and performing the shows.

In 2015, Piti Theatre and I received a grant from Club Passim's Iguana Fund to create a "Greatest Hits" collection of songs from our shows. As of October 2015, the album is mostly recorded and we're currently raising funds for mastering. We're really excited about this project and hope to release the record in the Spring of 2016. Please take a listen to these sample tracks!
